My Story
Torsha Boswell is a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio. She attended Akron public school’s graduating from Central-Hower High School in 1992 and later attended the University of Akron and Tri-C community college. Torsha loves creating experiences and making people happy with her God given talents for designing and event planning. For over 25 years she has hosted multiple baby showers for family and friends as well as other life monumental events. In 2018 Torsha officially launched her luxury event planning company Events by Torsha where she serves as the lead designer.
As a result of loving what she does and also wanting to give back to her community, Torsha’s company Events by Torsha gives away a luxury baby shower package every year on her
birthday to a single mother that has been entered into a drawing by members of the community or themselves and then selected by an Events by Torsha committee. Additionally, she further supports other entrepreneurs and leverages her relationships with them by soliciting donations from them to help bring a single mother’s dreams for her shower to fruition while also giving additional exposure to multiple vendors.
Torsha has given away over 10 baby showers within her four years of business. She’s very
committed to Summit County because that’s the county she grew up in.
Torsha takes great pride in her work. Seeing her clients walk into the room for the first time with
looks of awe and amazement leaves her both humble and grateful each time and is the reason why she knows this is the business for her.
